BUENOS AIRES – In a significant stride towards digital transformation and gender equity, Argentina has unveiled a comprehensive national program to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its educational curriculum, with a particular emphasis on empowering young women. This initiative, dubbed 'Argentina Futura Digital: Mujeres en IA', seeks to prepare the next generation for the demands of a rapidly evolving technological landscape, while actively addressing the historical underrepresentation of women in STEM fields.
The program, spearheaded by the Ministerio de Educación de la Nación in collaboration with the Secretaría de Innovación Pública, is set to roll out pilot projects in high schools across provinces like Buenos Aires, Córdoba, and Salta. Its core objective is not just to teach students about AI, but to equip them with the practical skills to develop and apply AI solutions, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving from an early age.
